Building Today — an
independently-owned publication — is the official magazine of the
Registered Master Builders Federation (RMBF). It was first published in 1991
as a national publication for the Federation after expanding from what
was On-Site magazine, the Auckland Master Builders Association
publication.
The magazine reaches those who matter in the New Zealand construction industry, along with associated benefits to construction-related advertisers.
The magazine's circulation targets RMBF members and other non-member builder companies, architects, consulting engineers and other specifiers.
The influence and dominance of the RMBF — an organisation established in 1901 and now the leading construction industry association in New Zealand — gives Building Today its authoritative standing as a long-standing monthly industry news publication.
The RMBF represents New Zealand’s premier construction companies, who pride themselves on delivering the highest quality houses and buildings.
The Registered Master Builders Federation:
• has approximately 1700 member companies who, in turn, employ more than 15,000 employees and subcontractors;
• represents upwards of 65% of every dollar spent on construction ($7.5b out of a total of
$12 billion in 2008), comprising:
• major contractors and commercial builders at $3b;
• volume/group and specialist new home builders $3.6b;
• residential alteration builders $0.9b.
