Canterbury roofing manufacturer Stratco has launched a new roofing profile at a recent new product presentation spearheaded by double-amputee outdoor adventurer Mark Inglis.

One hundred and fifty guests at the Jade Stadium presentation were treated to Mr Inglis’ inspirational stories, from the breathtaking peaks and ridges of the Himalayas to the pain and anguish of a Christchurch hospital bed.

His tales from the Roof of the World were interspersed with references to Stratco’s new SunTile which has been positioned as a Roof for Your World. The product is a scalloped profile steel roofing tile suited to a wide range of housing styles.

It is complemented by specially designed ridge capping unique to Stratco, and is expected to be very well received by the market. There are benefits for architects and installers.

Each tile measures 1300mm x 370mm which provides design flexibility, while the consequent ease of handling means quicker installation and minimised transportation costs.

It is a lightweight roofing solution, minimising the cost of framework and making it suitable for situations where unstable ground exists. The product has been designed, engineered and tested to comply with all building code requirements and the latest standards.

Wide range of colours The profile can be supplied in a wide range of colours, and is ideal for new residential roofing, re-roofing and light commercial.
