Master Build Services Ltd (MBS) is pleased to announce that Wayne Besant, chief executive of AIA New Zealand, will being joining their Board of Directors.
Mr Besant’s strong background in insurance and finance is the perfect extension to the MBS Board, whose portfolio of products has developed significantly over the past few years.
MBS director Chris Preston says Wayne is a very welcome addition to the Board. “With the new Building Act amendments coming into force in January, our Guarantee products will play a bigger part than ever in the building sector. We look forward to leveraging his experience and skill set to further cement our leadership position in the industry.”
Mr Besant says it is a privilege to support the work of the Master Build Services organisation.
“We have a period of strong growth underway in the building sector. Along with the highest standards of professionalism and craftsmanship, we are excited about the opportunity to extend even greater certainty to business and home owners through our nationwide network of Registered Master Builders.”
Mr Besant has held a number of senior roles with ANZ, including ANZ Retail managing director, as well as holding a number of directorships with EFT-Pos New Zealand, UDC Finance Group and ING.
