DeWalt has introduced the newest evolution of high-end cordless drills — the XRP5.

Designed to make the user more productive, the new DCD970KL-XE XRP5 hammer/drill/driver combines performance, durability and ergonomics into a compact powerhouse.

The unit is considerably shorter in length than its predecessor which is achieved through a frameless motor design, which has improved the magnetic field and increased air flow.

It also boasts a whopping 30% increased run-time through its patented, all-metal, 3-speed transmission, including metal shifting ring, gear case and drill lock.

The new transmission is 92% efficient, with a precision gear tooth design, optimised planet pins and an increased tooth count, resulting in the additional run-time.

The drill is powered by 2 x 18V lithium ion nano phosphate battery packs capable of more than 2000 recharges.

These features, combined with a new switch, LED light, improved clutch design and front-to-back shifting make this an impressive high performance cordless drills on the market. Also available is the DCD960KL-XE 18V XRP drill/driver.

All DeWalt tools come with a three-year trade warranty, one-year free service contract and a 30-, no-risk satisfaction guarantee.
